Drake, the rapper known for his extravagant vehicles, has recently added a new, eye-catching ride to his collection: a Brabus Crawler, which is essentially a dune buggy based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen.
This off-roading beast perfectly embodies Drake’s like for the extravagant and is bound to stir up attention, particularly online. News of his latest acquisition was shared by his long-time friend, Tony Bet, the manager of Driving Emotions Motorcar, who posted several photos of the vehicle on Instagram. Notably, one plaque on the vehicle reads, “Specially Built for Aubrey Drake Graham.”
The Brabus Crawler, limited to just 15 units, is an ideal fit for Drake’s vehicle collection. It’s an audacious and largely unnecessary creation in almost every aspect. Unlike many Brabus builds, this one is an original design, although it draws inspiration from one of the tuner’s favorite base vehicles, the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen. The dune buggy features a striking carbon-fiber body with design cues borrowed from the iconic SUV, such as the front end, headlamps, and taillights. The open-air interior is enclosed by a robust steel tube frame and is equipped with the vehicle’s steering wheel and infotainment system. Notably, it features carbon-backed, quilted leather racing seats with four-point harnesses, adding a sporty touch.
Under the hood, the Crawler is powered by a specially tuned version of the G63’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, generating a staggering 900 horsepower and 992 ft-lbs of torque. It comes with the SUV’s nine-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels, along with front and rear portal axles and locking differentials. The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch monoblock wheels shod in chunky off-road tires.
While the exact purchase price remains undisclosed, the Brabus Crawler originally had an $800,000 price tag when it first debuted in 2019. Considering one was recently listed on the Brabus website for $940,000, Drake likely paid a premium. This striking off-road addition seamlessly complements his existing collection, which includes an exceedingly rare Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, a Chrome Hearts-customized Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and most impressively, a $200 million Boeing 767.
