We thought the exact same, and had to check out The Enclaves for ourselves to see what luxury living in Puerto Los Cabos is all about. From the moment you enter the community, a refined ambience greets you from all angles. Whether the stonework pathways, perfectly manicured landscaping, or the Sea or Cortez in the distance, one of the three is sure to spark your senses. Although the grounds were still under works during our visit, pulling up to the ocean-front private residence somehow feels just right.

With a personal concierge and butler to greet home owners, any question or task is already half-way done.  The signature Ritz-Carlton service extends to The Enclaves, where care and comfort of guests are held to the highest standard. Although this is what you would expect of such a prestigious company, the extent of personalization and professionalism is truly unmatched from any other hotel or residence we have experienced.  Ahead of your arrival, the concierge team sends a grocery checklist and meal preference sheet to ensure your favorites are fully stocked and ready to chef up. An itinerary can be built based on your desires, whether you want to arrange a wake-up call, meal reservations, excursions, and more.

The Residences themselves are truly remarkable. Both models available consist of 4 or 5 bedroom enclaves all with their own private pool and ocean views. An open-air plan flows seamlessly as you enter the front door into the courtyard. Most of the bedrooms can be accessed via this common area, with a comfortable seating arrangement in the center. A full dining and living room are just through the second doorway, along with a double kitchen to the left. Finally, the backyard outdoor space comes equipped with fireplaces, a bbq station, lounge area, and more. Everything is finished to perfection with luxurious stone materials in a modern design. It’s everything you’d expect of the ideal vacation home, making it a truly perfect investment.

Although a fairly new development compared to the other areas of Cabo, Puerto Los Cabos has become a go-to destination. The notable golf course brings golf-lovers from around the world to experience a one-of-a-kind golfing journey.  “The opening 18 holes are a composite design consisting of 9 holes from Jack Nicklaus and 9 holes from Greg Norman.”

The community Marina located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula is a great central area of the community.  It houses 200 boat slips and can accommodate up to a 400ft yacht. Some of the activities that can be enjoyed here are fishing trips, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. The beautiful blue waters coupled with 80 degree sunshine make for a perfect day by the ocean. Outside of the marina, a botanical garden known as Wirikuta is home to over 1500 varieties of desert plants. The carefully landscaped grounds make for a very scenic photo op – with a market to take home one of your very own desert plants too. Also in the vicinity is a sculpture garden with a variety of unique pieces of art. A brief drive down the coast of Baja into the mountains, takes you to Wild Canyon – an adventure area with countless excursions. Choose from ATVing the desert, zip lining, camel quests, and more.

No experience is complete without great food; and by great food, we really mean the culinary journey at The Enclaves. As we mentioned, the concierge service at The Enclaves can pre-stock all of your grocery needs. They courteously take desired meal requests or surprise you with a selection of dishes chosen by the in-house chef. I’d have to say some of my personal favorites were the tuna sashimi (seen above) and the chilled gazpacho – both which make for a perfect mid-day summer snack. Freshly squeezed green juices were kept on deck, which were also a great refreshment to enjoy poolside. In typical Mexican tradition, we opted for Juevos Rancheros for breakfast two days in a row that were unbelievably delicious.

Although you can easily spend every moment in comfort at the residence, it’s always good to enjoy what the local area has to offer. A true hidden gem of the community is Flora Farms – a ten-acre valley farm in the foot hills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains. Rows of vegetables are grown amongst a collection of beautiful flowers and trees, with the restaurant situated right in the middle. An open-air concept let’s the flow of the garden pathway easily lead into the restaurant and kitchen where the magic happens. Believe us when we say this is the best organic food you will ever eat.  The countless diners with smiles on their faces is a good sign that they’re doing something right. It’s one of those experiences you simply can’t forget, and would definitely come back to try again. Another great dining-out option is La Patrona, a courtyard restaurant in the heart of the town.
