The Most Expensive New Car Priced At $19 Million USD.
The Bugatti La Voiture Noire is still going viral since being introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019 and will always hold its prestigious, limited, sought after energy. The name La Voiture Noire is french for ‘the black car’ hence the color and the word car being singular as only one will ever be made.
The La Voiture Noire is a new modernized design of Jean Bugatti’s personal Type 57 SC Atlantic which was lost during World War II, making it even more desirable and mystique. Featuring a quad-turbo W16 8.0-liter engine with 1,500 horsepower and 1,600 newton-meter / 1,180 pound-feet of torque. The design takes the car to a whole new level of exclusivity, boasting a full handcrafted carbon fiber body, six exhaust tips, a full width backside strip LED brake light sitting below an illuminated ‘Bugatti’ just to clarify and let you know exactly what it is your looking at.
Priced at a staggering 16.7 million euros, or almost $19 million USD, including taxes. Before taxes the car cost $12.5 million. According to Bugatti’s president Stephan Winkelman the La Voiture Noire is the most expensive car to ever be sold, which was acquired by a private buyer for $18.68 million USD, taxes included. The interior of the vehicle has yet to be seen or photographed, and the buyer remains anonymous, with Stephen Winkelman only stating that the car now belongs to a ‘Bugatti Enthusiast’.
The question is will we ever see this car again? Maybe, maybe not. Given the value of the vehicle and its limited one of one status the car most likely will sit and be a collectors piece in which the value will continue to increase over time.
