Named Azua, this 207-foot vessel was crafted for “youthful owners seeking the excitement of a swift boat coupled with the opulence of a superyacht,” as described by studio founder Josh Rodriguez. Rodriguez, a former sailor turned designer, notes a shifting preference among the upcoming generation of owners, favoring sleek, stylish, and agile vessels over conventional displacement yachts known for their bulkier profiles and conservative power.
Azua boasts a striking and streamlined silhouette, characterized by a steel hull, aluminum superstructure, and a pointed bow. Fueled by twin MTU (16V 4000 M63L) diesel engines, this newcomer can effortlessly achieve speeds of 22 knots at maximum capacity and maintain a comfortable cruising pace of 12 knots for a distance spanning 4,000 nautical miles. Rodriguez emphasizes the yacht’s versatility, stating, “One could catch a breathtaking sunset in Saint-Tropez and return in time for an exquisite dinner in Monaco.”
Offering an expansive living area, Azua spans across three decks. The interior exudes an ambiance of sophistication with a pastel color scheme and light wooden paneling, complemented by rose-gold accents and elegant dark furnishings. The main deck features an open-plan salon encompassing a luxurious lounge area equipped with a television and a dining space adorned with a 12-seat table. Towards the bow rests an exquisite owner’s suite that stretches across the entire width of the beam.
The lower deck accommodates two double cabins, two VIP suites, and dedicated quarters for the crew. Meanwhile, the upper deck showcases an observation lounge boasting breathtaking 270-degree views, alongside a more secluded secondary salon. Additionally, the upper deck houses the captain’s cabin and the wheelhouse.
The exterior decks of Azua also offer remarkable amenities. Starting from the stern, the beach club boasts an expandable swim platform and two folding balconies designed for sunbathing or social gatherings. Inside, the club boasts a centrally located bar, a day head on the port side, and a lounge area near the front bulkhead. Moving upwards, the main deck aft is furnished with an additional sofa for alfresco relaxation. Further up on the upper deck, multiple seating areas and a dining table capable of accommodating up to 10 guests provide ample entertainment space. Completing the opulence, the sundeck features a 10-foot Jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads.
