Another Look At The Patek Philippe Nautilus Tiffany 5711

Nautilus Tiffany

Back in 2021 Tiffany & Co. and Patek Philippe celebrated their 170th year in partnership with the creation of the Patek Philippe ‘Nautilus Tiffany 5711’  a one-of-a-kind watch, featuring a unique Tiffany & Co. dial on a Patek Philippe watch. Only 99 pieces were created worldwide, making the timepiece a rare find.  The two companies first joined forces in 1851, when Tiffany was named Patek Philippe’s first official retail partner in the United States. Today, Tiffany continues to operate a shop-in-shop dedicated to Patek Philippe within its stores, showcasing their lasting relationship.

The “Nautilus Tiffany 5711” is an exceptional timepiece that brings together Tiffany’s refined design elements and Patek Philippe’s intricate technical precision to create a unique blend of style and technical sophistication. The dial is the Tiffany & Co.s main design  made of 18k white gold and adorned with diamonds, showcases the brand’s iconic blue color and cursive logo at 12 o’clock. The Patek Philippe watch, powered by an automatic movement, ensures accurate timekeeping and has a power reserve of approximately 45 hours.

As you can imagine, the 5711 continues to be a highly sought-after luxury timepiece and as such, commands a premium price, originally selling for 50K. A few of the first allocations were uncovered as being Jay Z, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, John Mayer, Leonardo Di Cario, Lebron James and Ed Sheeran.

Fast forward to December 2022, and the sale of the highly coveted 5711 timepiece at auction made history with a staggering price of 6.5 million dollars. The lucky winner, as revealed, was none other than Zach Lu, who could not contain his excitement and shared an unboxing video on his Instagram account (@zachattack__25).

Although Lu initially dropped out of the bidding process at around $5 million, he eventually secured the watch when the original winner was unable to fulfill their 6.5MM payment obligation. Lu, a long-time enthusiast of Patek Philippe, had previously made attempts to secure an allocation from the original drop of the 5711, but was unfortunately unable to do so. In spite of this setback, Lu was able to finally add this rare and highly coveted timepiece to his collection.
