Aston Martin marked its debut as The Jockey Club’s premier high-performance car partner with a grand showcase at the prestigious Cheltenham Festival. The renowned British automaker stole the spotlight with the public unveiling of its 2024 Vantage model alongside a fleet of DBX707s, touted as the world’s fastest SUV.
As the inaugural event on the UK’s horse racing calendar and the busiest period for helicopter services in the country, Cheltenham provided the perfect stage. Attendees arriving at the pop-up heliport had the opportunity to experience the power of the DBX707 firsthand, as these high-performance vehicles ferried owners and VIPs to and from the hospitality sector throughout the four-day extravaganza.
Aston Martin took advantage of the festival to present its new Vantage model to the public for the very first time. With a prestigious heritage spanning over seven decades, the Vantage stands as the epitome of the brand’s performance prowess. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generating 665 PS and 800 Nm of torque, the Vantage boasts a top speed of 202 mph, firmly establishing its credentials in the realm of supercars.
Displayed alongside the DBX707 and the recently launched DB12, these three vehicles underscore Aston Martin’s ambitious strategy to rejuvenate one of the automotive industry’s most illustrious luxury brands. Under the stewardship of Lawrence Stroll, the marque has embarked on an extensive modernization initiative, bringing its core lineup into the contemporary era and presenting it to potential buyers in prime locations.
Established in 1750, The Jockey Club remains a bastion of luxury in the UK. Aston Martin is set to support all of its prestigious events in 2024, including the esteemed Grand National in April.
Oliver Turner, regional president of Aston Martin in the UK and South Africa, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “The world of horseracing provides Aston Martin with unparalleled opportunities to showcase our products to a discerning luxury audience and engage with our loyal customer community at some of the UK’s most prestigious events. With our rich heritage of iconic models and exhilarating horsepower, we find great synergy with this exceptional sport.”
