Dwayne “The Rock,” an actor, professional wrestler, and businessman, has introduced Papatui, an inexpensive men’s personal care line.
The skincare line, which is presently only available in the US through its e-commerce at papatui.com and in Target stores and Target.com, aims to provide “high-quality, hardworking products and each product costs less than ten US dollars.
Johnson’s belief that overall wellness should come first and that self-care is essential led to the creation of Papatui, which took three years to develop. A team of scientists and skincare experts worked to create products with cleaner, more effective ingredients that also prioritized performance.
Named after his Samoan grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, Papatui makes its fashion debut with a line of skin, hair, body, and tattoo care products. Specifically designed with men in mind, it comprises an oil-free, matte-finish face moisturizer, an antiperspirant that has been clinically shown to ward off perspiration and odor for 48 hours, and cutting-edge tattoo care that brightens and moisturizes ink design.
The skincare line also includes an awakening eye gel, a refreshing body wash, a 2-in-1 nourishing shampoo and conditioner, a 24-hour body lotion, and a rejuvenating toner.
Key components found in skincare products include ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and salicylic acid; nourishing ingredients found in body care and tattoo care products include coconut oil and mango butter. All Papatui products are also free of alcohol, PEGs, sulfates, dyes, and parabens in their formulation.
In addition to providing superior formulas at reasonable costs, Johnson worked with principal perfumers Frank Voelkl and Clement Gavarry at the upscale fragrance house Firmenich to create products with fragrances that rivaled the best-selling global brands. Three unique luxury scents are produced as a result: cedar sport, rich coconut, and sandalwood suede.
The range of prices for the collection is 7.99 to 9.99 USD.
