SpaceVIP, a trailblazer in luxury space travel, has joined forces with acclaimed chef Rasmus Munk, renowned for his groundbreaking culinary creations at the two-Michelin-starred Alchemist in Copenhagen, to introduce an extraordinary dining experience soaring some 100,000 feet above sea level.
Priced at a prestigious $495k per ticket and limited to just six guests per expedition, this six-hour journey will commence from Florida aboard Space Perspective’s Spaceship Neptune—an environmentally conscious vessel capable of ascending above 99% of Earth’s atmosphere.
Designed to offer one of the safest means for humans to explore space, Spaceship Neptune requires no specialized training or equipment. It operates under the regulation of the FAA and the US Coast Guard, adhering closely to NASA guidelines.
Onboard amenities include WiFi connectivity throughout the trip and a fully-equipped restroom. Guests will be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the planet below through the spacecraft’s oversized windows—the largest ever employed for space travel.
Additionally, each guest will be outfitted in bespoke attire crafted by the esteemed French fashion house Ogier, utilizing state-of-the-art fabrics tailored specifically for this expedition.
Throughout the gentle journey, guests will indulge in a specially curated menu by Chef Munk. Drawing inspiration from his renowned ‘Holistic Cuisine’ approach, where culinary creations aim to initiate conversations about our planet and our interconnectedness with it, the menu reflects on the role of space exploration over the past six decades and its societal impact.
Rasmus Munk shared his inspiration behind the culinary experience, stating, “The design of Alchemist’s main dining room is directly inspired by the sense of wonder I experienced as a child, witnessing Earth from space for the first time at the Copenhagen Planetarium.”
He added, “[Immersion] lies at the heart of Holistic Cuisine, and my goal is to fuse gastronomy with art and science to raise awareness about social and environmental issues. Serving food against the backdrop of Earth’s curvature will underscore its significance as a universal aspect of human existence.”
Roman Chiporukha, founder of SpaceVIP, remarked, “Embarking on this unparalleled gastronomic journey into the cosmos signifies a pivotal moment in human history. This inaugural voyage is just the beginning of SpaceVIP’s mission to leverage the transformative potential of space travel to elevate human consciousness and steer the course of our collective evolution.”
As the first installment of a series of Space Perspective expeditions developed in collaboration with SpaceVIP, all proceeds from the endeavor will be contributed to the Space Prize Foundation—a non-profit organization dedicated to dismantling gender-based barriers within the realm of science and technology.
