The new luxury food company OctaveWorld has launched its first products under the Octave umbrella brand. These are exclusive, high-end niche olive oil products that are positioned worldwide with a social responsibility approach.
Founded by two Swiss nationals with Greek roots, OctaveWorld has set high standards right from the very start. Inspired by the beauty and fertility of the seven Ionian Islands and driven by the uncompromising Swiss approach to quality, they developed the value formula 7+1. The brand is to be measured by this and all products launched under the Octave name are based on it. The eight tones that represent an octave provided the inspiration for the name. The taste experience is called “symphony of flavours”.
In fact, the theme of music plays a central role in Octave. Anastasios Ghiatras, one of the founders, explains: “At least 3% of our turnover goes into supporting the next generation of young musicians.” His partner Janis Papadatos adds: “We are extremely pleased to be able to support the 2023 Steinway Competition in Switzerland as part of a sponsorship commitment. This competition provides a platform and a voice for up-and-coming artists, and thus the next generation.”
The communication measures already implemented include an initial website with shop integration and an exclusive brand and product brochure. Additional activities are being planned, including more new products that are currently in the testing phase.
At this year’s Global Olive Oil Awards in Berlin, both Octave products (Signature and Organic) received the Silver Award for their quality from among almost 1,000 competitors, and the design and packaging even received the highest possible award.
This was what also won over the renowned top chef Antonio Colaianni (Restaurant Ornellaia in Zurich, 1 Michelin star, 16 Gault Millau points). Colaianni, who is one of the best chefs in the country and describes his style as “Mediterranean-Italian based on French cuisine”, has extensively tasted the two Octave products “Signature” and “Organic” and written his test results in exclusive “Tasting Notes”. These can already be read in a brand/product brochure and will soon be available on other channels as well. The charismatic chef, known for his authenticity, even draws a comparison with the great wines of this world: “For me, both Octave products achieve a standard that can be called “Grand Cru level”.”
The Octave products are in the upper price segment. They are currently available online, but will soon also be available in selected luxury & gourmet stores in Switzerland as well as in selected EU countries and, North America, Middle East and Asia.
