Since this summer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Manchester United has deteriorated. The Portuguese player wanted to leave the club after failing to qualify for the Champions League this season. After many incidents between Ronaldo and Manchester United the atmosphere became extremely tense, especially after Cristiano’s recent where he shared in detail insights when it comes to his relationship with his current team.
A clip of the full interview with Piers Morgan was posted in which Ronaldo goes in hard saying he was betrayed by Manchester United – further detailing how the coach along with two of the three guys at the executive level have been trying to push him out of the club since he got there.
Ronaldo didn’t stop there because he then went off about the club, the manager and former teammate Wayne Rooney.
As for United he said that ‘since Ferguson left their progress was zero’. He then proceeded to say that he didn’t respect the manager because he never showed him any respect back. And when it comes to Rooney, he roasted him by saying ‘I don’t know why he criticizes me so badly hopefully because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level’.
Manchester United are displeased with Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments in the interview with Piers Morgan and decided to take matters into their own hands after hearing these words even if the full interview was yet to be published. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was harsh on the club, which is why the Red Devils are willing to fine him up to £1 million.
With Ronaldo earning a reported $320,000 a day from all sources of income, it will roughly take him three days to pay off the fine from Manchester.
