Tesla has shaken the car industry in many ways. The famous and groundbreaking CEO Elon Musk has much to do with the impact the company has had. One of Elon’s highly focused goals is to release a car that is completely autonomous, in other words completely drives by itself.

The new Tesla models as of 2020 and 2021, will come equipped with the autopilot feature which is one feature that will certainly change the driving experience forever. Tesla cars come equipped with a total of eight built in surrounding cameras which provide a 360 degree visibility around the car at up to 250 meters of range. In addition, twelve updated ultrasonic sensors complement this vision, allowing for detection of both hard and soft objects. A futuristic forward-facing radar allows the cars system for processing additional data about the world on a perpetual wavelength that is even able to see through heavy rain, fog, dust and through the car ahead. Yes, even directly through another car, seeing what the car in front of you is seeing.

To make sense of all of this, Tesla developed a system which provides a view of the world that a driver alone cannot access, seeing in every direction at the same time, and on wavelengths that go far beyond the natural human senses. The data is able to be collected through this truly incredible technology which is entirely fairly new as far as how Tesla mastered the technology, and as well has never been utilized in this way or included within a car. The full self driving capabilities are nothing short of amazing and certainly a part of the future, if anything what the entire future holds. The self driving system is designed to be able to complete short and long trips with absolutely no action required by the person in the driver’s seat.

Autopilot advanced safety and convenience features are designed to assist you with the most painful parts of driving. Autopilot introduces new features and improves existing functionality to make your Tesla safer and more capable over time.

All that you will be doing is getting in your car and telling your car where to go. If you do not say/or input anything, your car will automatically take you to a previous destination or a most frequently visited destination from previous entries. Your Tesla will also figure out the most optimal route for any appointed destination, navigating urban streets (even without lane markings), manage complex intersections with traffic lights, stop signs and roundabouts, and even handle highly packed and busy freeways with cars moving at alternating / high speeds. When you arrive at your destination, simply step out at the entrance and your car will enter park seek mode, and will at this point automatically search for a spot and park itself. Once you leave your location, a simple tap on your phone summons the car out of its parked place and back to you ready to take you home or your next entered destination of choice.

This is the future of cars, from manufacturing, to marketing, to the consumer experience. Similar to the evolution of your cellular phone, today doing just about everything for you. Your car will soon be the same, an extension of your phone and tech gadgets. The car will soon be simply a space you enter for a period of time to sit and go from one place to another with the touch of button.
