Aston Martin revealed a highly exclusive sports car named the Valour on Tuesday. This special edition
marks a significant milestone as it is the only front-engined V-12 model equipped with a manual
transmission currently available on the market, making it an enticing prospect for affluent enthusiasts.
Throughout its illustrious history, Aston Martin has demonstrated its ability to craft exceptional front-
engined sports cars, from the iconic DB5 to the latest DB12. These models have consistently catered to
purists who prioritize an engaging driving experience, and the Valour follows in this tradition.
Under the Valour’s hood lies a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V-12 engine, which is now paired with a
bespoke six-speed manual transmission for the first time. The marque claims this powertrain can
generate an impressive 715 horsepower and 555 ft-lbs of torque, surpassing the V12 Vantage, which
achieves 690 horsepower and 555 ft-lbs of torque. Although exact performance figures were not
disclosed, the V-12 Vantage’s hard-top version can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and
reach a top speed of 200 mph. The Valour is expected to deliver similar or even better results, and its
manual gearbox is likely to enhance the driving experience.
Valour’s design pays homage to Aston Martin’s heritage with a throwback appearance. While recent
models boast smooth and flowing lines, this anniversary edition embraces a distinctive sculpted look in
its carbon-fiber body, reminiscent of the original V8 Vantage from the 1970s and ’80s. The car exudes a
sense of muscularity and speed, accentuated by its aggressively styled hood, rear window louvers, and
spoiler. Furthermore, the Valour rides on 21-inch forged alloy “Honeycomb” wheels, wrapped in exclusive
Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires.
Inside the two-seat cockpit, a modern yet striking design awaits. The door cards mirror the exterior’s
exaggerated shape, and the carbon-fiber and chrome detailing stand out, with the option of traditional
woolen tweed seat coverings. As always, customers can collaborate with Q by Aston Martin to
personalize the interior further.
While the pricing details have not been disclosed yet, it is speculated that the Valour could cost between
$1.5 million and $2 million due to its ultra-exclusive nature. Only 110 examples of this front-engined
sports car will be produced by Aston Martin, and deliveries are expected to commence before the end of
the year.
