The most recent creation of the independent Swiss watchmaking workshop Artisans de Genève is a redesigned Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 with an open-worked dial made of ice blue sapphire.
Artisans de Genève projects, renowned for their amazing bespoke services in modifying prestigious timepieces, are dedicated to retelling their clients’ stories. This cool-hued Nautilus, named “Musher,” finds inspiration in the owner’s childhood and strong emotional bond with the natural world.
The entire movement, dial, and bezel were completely redesigned and altered, but the original case and bracelet were retained. The workshop skeletonized the dial’s movement after initially requesting an open-worked dial from the client. The gray-gold indices complement the blue sapphire dial plate, which is designed to evoke the peace and tranquility found in nature. The hand-crafted blue sapphires embedded in the white gold bezel mirror the brightness of the newly designed dial.
