On top of the dine-in setting perfect for an intimate date or family night, Oniro Taverna is also the ideal location to host a private party or gathering for birthdays, baby showers, business meetings, and more. Bringing out the essence of Greek nightlife, a fully stocked, blue-lit bar sets the ambiance for a memorable time. If we were to describe the food in a few words it would be: authentic, fresh and bursting with flavor. In true Mediterranean fashion, seafood highlights the menu in every preparation whether raw, grilled, fried, or steamed. However seafood is not the only thing to choose from. The appetizing and eye catching “Kolokithakia Tiganita” which are thinly sliced zucchini and eggplant chips are a must-try to kick off your meal. Add in Oniro’s house hummus, grape leaves, and sesame feta – all classically native dishes – and you will feel transported to your very own Greek taverna.

As for the Entrees you can’t go wrong with a charcoal grilled whole fish. But the two most memorable dishes have to be the Lobster Pasta and the Oniro Pasta. The former, served with a full lobster head and tail separated by the lobster filled pasta in the center of the dish is as great for sharing as it is for photo taking. And the Oniro Pasta plated with squid ink linguine is served with shrimp, mussels, scallops, and saffron cream. We’re hungry just thinking about it!

So the next time you’re craving a bit of Greek, look no further than Oniro Taverna for a delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Plus, stay tuned for their sister restaurant Oniro Mezze & Barra coming soon in Roslyn!
