Lamborghini recently announced the brand new Performante model for the Lamborghini Urus, which has more aggressive styling, a more powerful V-8 engine and revised suspension. However, the Italian supercar manufacturer has now revealed another addition to their SUV line, The Lamborghini Urus S. The Urus S is the most accomplished super SUV with evolved performance, design and exclusivity, revealing even greater strength and a heightened perception of luxury.
Speaking of performance the Urus S comes with a 16 horsepower boost over the current Lamborghini Urus, and the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 spits out 627 pound-feet of torque, which is the same as the Urus Performante. Lamborghini says the Urus S will hit 62 mph in 3.5 seconds, 0.2 second behind its claim for the lighter Performante. The 124 mph mark is said to arrive in 12.5 seconds, one second adrift of the Performante but still incredibly quick for a vehicle weighing nearly 5000 pounds. And lastly with an equal top speed of 190 mph we can almost say that the Urus S is every bit as good as the Performante.
When it comes to looks, the Urus S gets a revised front bumper with horizontal grille elements replacing the hexagonal design of the outgoing model. It will also get a new matte-black stainless steel skid plate to protect the underside of the car. The Urus S Features a carbon fiber painted hood with the same thin air vents that were introduced on the Performante, which can be optioned in gloss black, body color, or carbon fiber. The exhaust has been retuned as well, and the standard 21-inch wheels are joined by 22-inch and 23-inch options.
The Lamborghini Urus has already proven to be one of Lamborghini’s most successful car models in the past couple of years and the Urus S will undoubtedly be a great addition to the bloodline.
