Halter Ranch Opens New Tasting Room in Fredericksburg, Texas

The opulent tasting room at Halter Ranch Texas is now open at 8561 E US-290 in Fredericksburg, Texas. The newest Halter Ranch tasting facility is situated on a 32-acre property dotted with oak trees. It has a restaurant that serves seasonal, organic food that highlights the wealth of the Texas Hill Country as well as a selection of wines crafted from 100% USDA Organic grapes.

Halter Ranch is expanding for the first time, this time outside of its California base. In Paso Robles, the historic winery is home to a 2,700-acre nature estate and a cutting-edge production facility. There’s a second tasting room in Temecula.

The property, which is roughly an hour’s drive from Austin and San Antonio, welcomes visitors to sample great wine made from organic grapes and locally sourced food at Restaurant H, the tasting room. Under the direction of Executive Chef Paul Arangorin, the menu will frequently alter to suit the changing seasons and feature ingredients sourced from Texas. Halter Ranch is pleased to collaborate with regional suppliers on all of their sites, highlighting their sustainable farming and winemaking practices regarding the land.

The structure has a tasting room and a separate dining area for visitors who want to savor dishes that go well with Halter Ranch wines. The expansive cinematic views of the Hill Country are provided by floor-to ceiling windows and a welcoming patio.

Vice President and General Manager of Halter Ranch Bryce Mullins said, “Like many visitors to the Texas Hill Country, we were enchanted by the land and drawn to create another home for Halter Ranch.

To make the wines, Sass collaborates with Bending Branch Winery in Comfort, Texas, and two Texas farmers who grow organic grapes. Sass is growing one acre of organic Blanc du Bois grapes on the Halter Ranch Texas property because he has a strong desire to develop and experiment.

“Creating something beautiful with as little impact on the land as possible was our priority with Halter Ranch Texas,” Sass says. The foundation of our cultivation is also this: an organic method that produces mouthwatering, terroir-forward wines. We are eager to introduce Halter Ranch to the entire state of Texas.
