Lamborghini Urus Performante: A Bull Made For Few

Introducing the all-new Lamborghini Urus Performante. Lamborghini came out with the Urus in 2018, making it the most popular vehicle Lamborghini has ever sold in volume. Considering how well the SUV did in sales, it only made sense to bring it back, but even better. The Urus Performante comes back with upgraded body styling, new touches to the interior, and overall performance.

The two variables that make up a “Performante” are weight loss and greater power output. Starting with the exterior, The Performante comes fitted with Carbon Fiber pieces all over the car, making it a lighter vehicle than the previous generation, 103 pounds to be exact (47 kilograms). The hood and roof of the car are constructed out of Carbon Fiber; this not only makes the vehicle aesthetically more pleasing to the eye but considering that both the roof and hood are larger surface areas, this makes of for most of the weight savings.

Moving on to the performance and aerodynamics of the SUV. The previous generation Urus came stock with an incredible 650hp, which is still plenty enough for the average consumer that bought into the Urus platform. Still, being the newer car, it is only fitting that Lamborghini added a little pep into the Performante motor, bringing it to 666hp.

Driving faster means being more efficient with any means necessary. The Urus is a large SUV, making it not the most aerodynamic piece of machinery on the market, but there are always ways to solve this. Lamborghini decided to fit the Performante with a large carbon fiber spoiler and rear diffuser; with these components working together hand and hand, it allows the giant beast to stick to the tarmac and stay planted through corners.
