Marriott Unveils Exciting Details of Upcoming Vietnam Resorts

Marriott International Inc. has recently inked agreements to introduce three lavish resorts in Vietnam. Scheduled to welcome guests in 2028 and 2029, these properties include the JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa, The Luxury Collection Resort Hon Thom Island, and The Ritz Carlton Reserve, Hon Thom Island. Notably, this venture marks the inaugural presence of The Ritz-Carlton Reserve and The Luxury Collection in the Vietnamese hospitality landscape.

Rajeev Menon, the President for Asia Pacific (excluding China) of Marriott International, expressed his enthusiasm about this expansion, particularly in the luxury sector. He stated, “We are delighted to continue expanding our portfolio in Vietnam, particularly in the luxury space. Vietnam is a growing market for luxury travel, with rising demand from both international and domestic sectors. These signings further underscore our commitment to the future of hospitality and luxury in Vietnam.”

JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa

Nestled in Southeast Asia’s first dual World Heritage Site, the JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa is poised to welcome its first guests in 2028. Situated in Northern Vietnam, just 50 miles east of Hanoi, this location is renowned for its sugarloaf mountains, rice fields, caves, rivers, wetlands, and historical temples and palaces.

Designed by BITEXCO Group, this luxurious resort will boast 150 rooms and suites, complemented by an array of 35 one- and two-bedroom villas, some with private pools. The dining experience will be a highlight with two restaurants, a café, lobby lounge, and two bars. Furthermore, the resort is equipped with ample event facilities, including a spacious 5,000-sq-ft ballroom and two meeting rooms.

Leisure and entertainment offerings at JW Marriott Trang An Resort & Spa comprise two pool zones, a fitness center, a kids’ club with an outdoor playground, and a recreational activity center. Guests will also have the opportunity to unwind in the signature Spa by JW, featuring six treatment rooms.

Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Hon Thom Island

Designed by Bill Bensley, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve on Hon Thom Island will offer an exclusive selection of 40 pool villas. This exquisite resort, owned by the Sun Group, graces the southern tip of Hon Thom Island, providing breathtaking sea vistas of Phu Quoc’s southern archipelago. The island is located in the turquoise sea off the south coast of Phu Quoc and is accessible by a cable car from the main island.

Anticipated to open in 2028, the resort will be replete with two pools, a spa, salon, fitness center, three restaurants, and three bars. It will also cater to young guests through Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment educational program, housed in a specialized two-story activity center and garden. Additionally, the resort will offer an expansive event space designed to host picturesque beachfront weddings.

The Luxury Collection Resort, Hon Thom Island

Scheduled for a grand debut in 2029, The Luxury Collection Resort, Hon Thom Island, will grace the northwest coast of Hon Thom Island and is set to feature 305 rooms, suites, and family accommodations. Also under the ownership of the Sun Group, the resort will provide an array of dining options, boasting six restaurants and bars.

In addition to this, the resort will offer two pool areas, a kids’ club, activity center, fitness center, and a spa equipped with seven treatment rooms, whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms, ensuring an indulgent experience for guests.
