Maserati is rapidly expanding its Folgore range of electric vehicles, reinforcing its commitment to electrify its entire lineup. The renowned Italian manufacturer has announced its intention to become an EV-only brand by 2028. Notably, Maserati’s electrification strategy extends beyond road cars. Following the launch of the stunning GranCabrio Folgore open-top grand tourer, the brand has introduced a matching all-electric powerboat. With this move, Maserati joins other high-end automakers like Mercedes, Porsche, and Lamborghini in the watercraft arena. Named Tridente, the 34-foot battery-electric yacht was developed in partnership with EV marine company Vita.
Designed for day cruising or as a tender for a larger yacht, the Tridente showcases Maserati’s signature aesthetic paired with Vita’s advanced electric powertrain technology. The sleek vessel is inspired by Vita’s Lion powerboat concept, with custom updates by Maserati.
Photos released by Maserati depict the yacht in a striking matte rose gold finish, highlighting its elegant lines. The exterior is complemented by a cream-colored interior, featuring the marque’s iconic trident logo on the bow. The cockpit includes two captain’s chairs and a U-shaped lounge that can accommodate up to eight passengers.
Beneath its stunning rose gold paint, the Tridente boasts a carbon-fiber hull. It is powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 600 horsepower. Maserati claims the yacht can reach a top speed of 40 knots (about 46 mph). The motors draw power from a 252 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 43 miles at a cruising speed of 25 knots (approximately 29 mph). The battery can be recharged using a DC connection in under one hour. The Tridente is now available for order, starting at approximately $2.6 million based on current exchange rates.
