Inspiration for the new product draws from founder Michael Louis Maddaloni’s ancestral heritage from the namesake town of Maddaloni, Italy, as well as his immediate family history in the jewelry industry. Growing up involved in his family’s jewelry store, Michael recognized the admiration customers had for their jewelry pieces. They were seen as more than just objects, and coveted with appreciation for the brand story, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. These same ideas carried through to the creation of Michael Louis’ first handbag, appropriately named The Little Jewel.

Crafted entirely in genuine Italian calfskin leather, The Little Jewel features a structured top handle silhouette with a magnetic flap closure that is accented outside with the Maddaloni “M”. At 7 inches in width the mini bag is surprisingly roomy and made to fit the essentials: your phone, wallet, and keys – which are all product styles a part of the core collection at Michael Louis. With such an intentional design, a detachable strap was also added to allow for versatility in use as a top-handle, cross body, or shoulder bag. Two interior compartments, one slip pocket at the front and another closed compartment fitted with a Riri zipper are perfect for organizing or storing important cards, papers, or bills.
