In the heart of Turkey, a renowned shipyard celebrated for its rugged expedition vessels has unveiled its latest masterpiece—the B80 Explorer Yacht. Launched at the end of May, this 86-foot marvel is the first of its kind, with two more siblings from the B80 series poised to make their debut soon. Designed for adventure and luxury, the B80 represents a refined evolution within Bering Yachts’ esteemed B88 series, which has quickly garnered popularity among yachting enthusiasts.
Measuring 86 feet in length with a beam of just over 26 feet, the B80 offers a spacious interior volume of 233 GT, comparable to its B88 predecessors. “The B88 series, including this slightly modified B80, is becoming one of our standout models,” Bering founder Alexei Mikhailov stated. The B80’s construction combines a steel displacement hull with an aluminum superstructure, maintaining the robust build quality Bering is known for.
The yacht’s exterior, crafted by Sabdes Yacht Design, exudes a timeless elegance with modern flair, while the interior is the work of Bering’s talented in-house team. The design philosophy integrates natural materials like wood and marble, enhanced by a serene, neutral color scheme that creates an atmosphere of tranquility and expansive luxury across the four decks.
The B80’s layout reflects a clear emphasis on hosting and comfort, catering to both relaxation and entertainment. The lower deck is a testament to this, featuring four generously sized guest cabins that can accommodate up to 10 guests. It also houses the crew quarters, a crew mess, the engine room, and a lazaret, all finished with the same high-quality materials used in the guest areas to ensure uniform luxury and comfort.
On the main deck, the owner’s stateroom reigns supreme, accompanied by the main galley, a vast salon, and a dining area that seats 10. This deck also boasts a spacious outdoor cockpit, perfect for alfresco dining with its large dining table and a rotatable pop-up TV ideal for outdoor movie nights under the stars.
Ascending to the upper deck, you’ll find the captain’s quarters, a pilot house, and a skylounge designed for relaxation and wellness. The skylounge includes a gym, a hammam, and a lounge area. Outdoors, the bow offers a giant sun pad for soaking up the sun, while the aft deck features sunbeds that can double as storage space for tenders if required.
The crowning glory is the flybridge, equipped with a captain’s chair, a large table for gatherings, two settees, a wet bar, a grill, and another pop-up TV. This area is designed for both leisure and luxury, with ample sunbeds inviting guests to relax and enjoy the panoramic views.
Underneath its sleek exterior, the B80 is powered by twin Cummins engines, delivering a top speed of 10.5 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 8.5 knots. Impressively, the yacht has a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles, making it as capable of long-distance exploration as it is stylish and comfortable. “The B80 is as proficient as it is beautiful,” Mikhailov affirms, highlighting its dual appeal.
With the B80, Bering Yachts continues to push the boundaries of what an explorer yacht can be. Marrying rugged capability with luxurious comfort, the B80 is designed for those who seek both adventure and the finer things in life. As it sets sail, this newest addition to the Bering fleet is sure to capture the hearts of explorers and luxury seekers alike.
