Porsche has introduced the all-new 911 GT3 R Rennsport, a highly anticipated reveal at the Rennsport Reunion 7 event held at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Limited to just 77 units, this exclusive sports car offers exceptional performance and a modern design, making it a collector’s dream.
The 911 GT3 R Rennsport boasts a power output of nearly 620 horsepower, a significant increase compared to its predecessor, the 911 GT3 R of the current 992 generation. Designed by Grant Larson and Thorsten Klein of the Style Porsche team, the rennsport features a wider and visually elongated body, complemented by well-designed wheels that enhance both its aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency.
According to Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President of Motorsport at Porsche, the 911 GT3 R Rennsport offers a pure driving experience in the form of a nine-eleven-based racing car. It combines exceptional motorsport technology with Porsche’s typical design language, making the brand’s history tangible and audible.
Under the hood, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that can rev up to 9,400 rpm and is capable of running on various fuels, including bio-ethanol and regeneratively produced e-fuels, moving closer to carbon-neutral operation.
The car features a sequential six-speed constant-mesh gearbox with a slight modification to enable a higher top speed. The unsilenced racing exhaust system promises an authentic racing sound.
With a redesigned chassis featuring a modern double wishbone suspension at the front, a multi-link suspension at the rear, and specially designed Michelin racing tires, the 911 GT3 R Rennsport is ready to deliver an unmatched racing experience.
The starting price for this limited-edition rennsport is 1,046,000 USD, with allocations available through a dedicated page launched by Porsche Motorsport.
