In the realm of romantic getaways and gatherings with loved ones, country house hotels have long been the go-to choice. But what if you yearn for something different? Something more secluded and exclusive than the traditional hotel experience of sipping tea in plush lounges or indulging in breakfast in a spacious dining room?
Enter the perfect solution – The Yews, a brand-new treehouse at the Chewton Glen Hotel.
Beyond Comfort and Seclusion
This exceptional treehouse offers a five-star retreat cocooned in absolute privacy, complete with hot tubs on a sprawling wrap-around balcony.
Step inside, and you’ll be immersed in a world of muted grey tones, with a standout feature being the grand semi-circular sofa.
The Yews comprises two generously appointed marble bathrooms, including two large freestanding baths, making a total of three bathrooms in this luxurious abode.
Perched on the edge of the New Forest National Park in Hampshire, The Yews consists of two opulent apartments: Great Yew and Little Yew, both harmoniously united under the name “The Yews.” Elevated 35 feet above the ground, this private treehouse boasts an architecturally pleasing silhouette from the outside.
Between the two apartments, you’ll find four inviting bedrooms – two doubles and two twins, each equipped with four pull-out beds beneath the twin beds.
What truly sets this retreat apart are the thoughtful details: the semi-circular sofa, an arcade game where you can immerse yourself in classics like Pac-Man and Space Invaders, a ladder that leads to the loft room, a flat-screen TV right in the bathroom, and a sprawling balcony adorned with a spacious hot tub that allows you to immerse yourself in nature’s beauty.
Staying at The Yews means experiencing a slice of nature right at your doorstep, while also enjoying all the top-notch amenities of the hotel. These include a spa, a range of leisure activities, an award-winning restaurant, a golf course, a croquet lawn, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and both indoor and outdoor tennis courts.
Furthermore, you have the privilege of embarking on a delightful 20-minute walk to the sea through the hotel’s grounds and a public footpath.
While you’re here, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Kitchen, a purpose-built cookery school, bakery, and laid-back restaurant in partnership with celebrity chef James Martin. You also have the option to hire a private chef for your entire stay, as well as access to therapists, personal trainers, and yoga and meditation classes.
The Yews welcomed its first guests in October, but it’s not the first treehouse at Chewton Glen – a total of 12 treehouses now grace this picturesque retreat, with the first one opening its doors in 2012.
If you decide to treat yourself to a few days of rejuvenation, it’s worth noting that a night’s stay at The Yews starts at £2,850, encompassing both luxurious apartments.
