Kylie Jenner, the 26-year-old founder of Kylie Cosmetics, recently took to Instagram to announce her newest business endeavor – her own clothing line, Khy.
In her latest Instagram post, Jenner posed confidently in a stylish long leather trench coat paired with eye-catching bright red pumps. Seated gracefully on a beige carpet, she gazed at the camera while sporting a soft bronzed makeup look, complete with a deep burgundy lip gloss. The caption simply read, “Meet Khy,” introducing her followers to her latest venture.
Additionally, the reality star tagged the new Instagram account for Khy, guiding users to the brand’s newly established social media presence. The official Khy page featured a single photo of Jenner wearing the same striking trench coat, with her back turned towards the camera, highlighting the coat’s high collar, cinched waist, and voluminous sleeves. The caption teasingly announced, “Coming soon. Sign up at khy.com.”
Jenner also updated her Instagram bio to include a link to the newly launched Khy website, which was also promoted on the brand’s account with the statement “Coming Soon.”
For eager fans, the website offers the opportunity to sign up for “early access.” However, the exact release date and early access date remain undisclosed.
Fans flooded the comment section, expressing their excitement about the entrepreneur’s latest venture. One fan even declared, “I think I love Khy.” Renowned celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero warmly greeted the brand, saying, “Nice to meet you, Khy!”
Some fans speculated that Jenner’s announcement might be connected to something her niece, North West, mentioned during a social media livestream. One user inquired, “Is this the brand North was talking about on live? Hahahaa 👀.”
While a few fans caught on to the potential mention of the brand, Puck News initially reported in July that the Khy founder had been collaborating with frequent Kardashian partners, Emma and Jens Grede. This dynamic business couple also collaborates with Kris Jenner and Kim and Khloé Kardashian on SKIMS and Good American.
Jenner’s venture into the fashion industry comes after her 2012 collaboration with PacSun and her partnership with her older sister, Kendall Jenner, for a brand within a clothing store. Three years later, she transitioned into the cosmetics industry and launched Kylie Cosmetics with three lip kits, which propelled her career. Four years after the initial launch, Forbes featured her on its cover as the youngest self-made female billionaire, owing to the brand’s digital success and presence in Ulta stores. In 2019, she sold a majority stake to Coty.
In 2021, Jenner and Coty relaunched the brand with “all new formulas that are clean and vegan.”
Furthermore, Jenner shared her future plans for Kylie Cosmetics, expressing that it serves as a legacy for her daughter, Stormi, who is 4 years old. She envisions Stormi taking over the business one day, saying, “Stormi is my legacy. I’m raising her to be smart and kind and driven. Maybe she will take over Kylie Cosmetics one day? Only if she wants to,” as revealed in a special edition of tmrw.
