Arriving to an island with turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and clear blue skies, we were already in awe of the sheer natural beauty before us. Within moments of landing on the magnificent island, we were greeted by the charming staff, and lounging in the welcome area with a refreshing blended tea. A buggy was ready with our baggage on the dock to take us on a brief tour of the island and settle in at the ocean reef private villa residence that we had the pleasure to call home.

In all honesty, no matter how often you travel, the first moments arriving at your room are truly indescribable – especially when the setting is as stunning as Amilla Fushi. With an expansive room layout including a terrace with a private infinity pool overlooking the Indian Ocean, it’s almost hard to believe this is real life. No matter which room style you opt for, each has unique characteristics and the setting just as beautiful.

Amilla has partnered with Bodyism to launch their Wellness Tree Homes catered to a fabulous and fit lifestyle. For those of you who don’t know, Bodyism is a physical fitness program that originated in London, and focuses on clean and lean living. The program comes to life here by combining a secluded spa, fitness, and healthy eating experience. With the help of a personal trainer and coach, a week at the Wellness Tree House will liven your mind and body.

Daily breakfast is complementary and served at Bazaar, the indoor/outdoor beachfront dining venue. With an array of tasty buffet items and a curated breakfast menu, theres tons to choose from to energize your morning.

We eased into the afternoon with an hour long massage at The Javvu Spa, the on-site award winning treatment center. With ten pods nestled in the lush palm forest, you can enjoy a sauna, steam room, tea lounge, yoga pavillion, or book a relaxing body treatment.

Afternoon Champagne & Snorkeling at Amilla Fushi

Afternoons in the Maldives are best spent by the sea. Whether it’s sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, or boat excursions, there are tons of enjoyable ways to spend an afternoon at Amilla Fushi. Being that the reef house hosts stairs straight into the ocean, we had to take the opportunity to go snorkeling right outside our villa. The seclusion of own our pool and access to reef right below made the time feel like we were in our own private island home.

We opted for a Dolphin excursion one afternoon, which was hosted on the house 43ft Vismara Motor Yacht. The sleek matte black yacht equipped with bedroom cabin inside was the perfect boat to enjoy a cool breeze and lovely afternoon.
