Home to Mega Yachts, those that live there, the wealthy yachting crowds, and many tourists – Dubai Marina is a stunning location within the city of Dubai, a recommend visit and must see.
Dubai Marina is an artificial canal city, built along a two mile stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. Dubbed the worlds largest man-made marina. Located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. A fun fact – the designer HOK Canada of the now famous Dubai Marina was inspired when designing the marina by another development called the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, Canada.
In order to create the man-made marina developers from the real estate development company, Emaar Properties of the United Arab Emirates brought the waters of the Persian Gulf into the Dubai Marina. The developers created a new waterfront entirely. There is a large central waterway, excavated from the desert and running parallel to the entire length of the two mile marina. Even though much of the marina and overall location is occupied by water, it also includes almost five miles of landscaped public walkways, stunning views all around – for example of Palm Jumeriah for everyone to enjoy.
