Tuesday June 15th marks the official National Lobster Day, where seafoods lovers can celebrate and enjoy one of summer’s favorite foods just a little bit more. Lobster, which in recent times has been considered a luxury food, can be enjoyed in so many different varieties – chilled or warm, in rolls, soups, on salads, with pasta, or a la carte; the list goes on. This year we’ve rounded up some of Long Island’s best restaurants with delicious Lobster dishes to enjoy on the special day.
Oniro Taverna the authentic Greek restaurant that has been a community favorite in Woodbury brings guests a beautiful menu of re-imagined Greek staples by Executive Chef Peter Spyropoulos (Le Cirque and Bouley).
- For National Lobster Day: Oniro’s lobster offerings include: Lobster Roll (Maine lobster with tomato, avocado, mustard, mayonnaise, and romaine lettuce served with house made chips) for lunch, and Astakomakaronada (A ¼ pound lobster over linguine with tomato sauce) for dinner.
Roslyn’s Prime 1024, the beautiful modern Italian steakhouse with an urban ambiance that has been serving Roslyn faithfully for more than two years features a spacious interior with gorgeous glass and dark wood partitions between each of the tables and beautiful outdoor cabana-style dining spaces. While the menu’s main event is the selection of top-grade steaks and chops, the restaurant is noted for its Italian offerings as well. For National Lobster Day enjoy the special spaghetti with Lobster served with tomato sauce, chili flakes, and basil.
Limani Roslyn is the upscale Greek-Mediterranean dining destination on Long Island’s gold coast that flies in it’s seafood in daily. The idea for the restaurant was conceptualized when the ownership team realized that a truly authentic Mediterranean-Greek menu was not available on Long Island. For National Lobster Day, opt for the Lobster Panini, Lobster Pasta (pictured above) or a Charcoal-grilled deep-sea Lobster from Nova Scotia.
