Audi plans to produce only 660 units for the 2025 model year, with a mere 85 allocated for the United States and just seven for Canada. While it might seem like North America is getting the short end of the stick, there’s a silver lining. Despite the limited availability, the RS 6 Avant GT showcases Audi’s dedication to crafting an extraordinary series-production wagon.
Under the hood lies Audi’s most powerful series-production engine ever. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 pumps out an impressive 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, a significant jump from the 2019 version. With a claimed zero-to-60 mph sprint in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, this car is all about blistering performance. Audi engineers have meticulously upgraded the GT’s underpinnings, incorporating carbon fiber components and carbon-ceramic brakes to shave off 33 pounds, although the weight still sits at a substantial 4,565 pounds.
The suspension system has received careful attention, featuring a manually adjustable coil-over setup that lowers the ride height by 10 mm for improved agility while maintaining daily driving comfort. Paired with Continental Sport Contact 7 tires designed specifically for the GT, the car delivers outstanding performance in all conditions. Add Audi’s standard eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox and an updated Quattro Sport differential for greater rear-wheel bias, and you have a driveline tuned for precision and agility.
Inspired by Audi’s RS 6 GTO concept, the exterior design exudes raw power. Drawing from the original IMSA Audi 90 GTO, the bold fenders evoke the spirit of one of the most aggressive racing sedans ever created. The wide grille and prominent air intakes make a statement, while the double rear wing and lower diffuser demand attention. The carbon-fiber hood, a first for Audi, proudly showcases its woven composite construction.
Inside, the RS 6 Avant GT blends elegance with functionality. Carbon bucket seats with Audi’s honeycomb pattern adorn the front, while a plaque on the center console displays the individual serial number of each car from the limited production run of 660 units. Unlike its predecessor, which was entirely built at the Neckarsulm factory, the RS 6 Avant GT undergoes final assembly at a dedicated line in Böllinger Höfe, meticulously crafted by hand by a team of seven technicians. While the U.S. market’s MSRP is yet to be announced, it’s expected to be around $220,000, with dealer markups likely.
