Tramp Health, a private wellness club from the owners of London’s Tramp nightclub, has opened in Mayfair, expanding the club’s legacy into a dedicated health space. Located in the former American Embassy, now the Chancery Rosewood, Tramp Health occupies a contemporary, cavernous interior designed by Chelsea studio Tomèf. The design, described as cave-like and modern, moves guests from a light-filled café into an underground complex of therapy rooms, movement studios, and spa facilities. Tomèf’s founder, a Tramp member, shaped the club’s distinctive look.

The club is the work of Luca Maggiora, who founded Tramp Health alongside Doctor Mark Mikhail. Maggiora says he prioritizes member retention and personally interviews each applicant, aiming for a space that’s “neither deserted nor overcrowded.” Membership grants access to treatments that include BTL EmSella physiotherapy, which uses electromagnetic waves to stimulate pelvic floor muscles, and red light therapy beds for full-body cell repair. Spa manager Vanessa oversees these offerings, while gut massages and lymphatic drainage are led by therapists such as Sophie. The spa also houses a cedar sauna with a cave ceiling and two cold plunges at different temperatures, a detail Maggiora says accounts for research on gender-specific cold exposure benefits.

The gym and movement areas feature Technogym equipment and Alo-branded studios for HIIT and Reformer Pilates. Personal trainers and members use these sleek rooms for classes and individual workouts. Audio throughout the club was installed by Evolve Install, led by Elliot Patterson, who has worked with Maggiora for two decades. Patterson specified Martin Audio speakers for each area, with Adorn ACS-40T and ACS-55T models in communal spaces and corridors, and higher-output A80 cabinets in the Megaformer Pilates and HIIT studios. “The instructors and members need audio with a bit more kick, and the A80 cabinet works exceptionally well for that,” Patterson said. Acoustic treatments and heavy sponge flooring help manage sound in the gym’s glass-heavy layout.

The Tramp Café, an indoor-outdoor terrace, serves post-treatment meals such as grilled sea bass and truffle tagliolini, along with smoothies and potent cold-pressed ginger shots. Maggiora says the club is for members who enjoy wine, dancing, and pasta, but also want to improve their health and meet others with similar interests. Doctor Mark Mikhail is available to members for blood tests and health plans. Upstairs, facialist Jayne conducts Aura skin scans, using 3D imaging to assess skin age and needs, followed by personalized facials with techniques like lymphatic tapping and papaya peels.

Other facilities include a crystal bowls class for sound therapy, a cellular hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and an IV drip room. The sound system is set to expand further as a personal training suite is added, with Martin Audio Q26 speakers scheduled for installation. Membership to Tramp Health is required. The club’s approach remains as private and selective as its nightclub roots. The magazine has also looked at Zahra Adloo Therapy’s holistic wellness treatments, which, like Tramp Health, bring together multiple therapies under one roof.

A visit to Tramp Health begins with a walk through Hyde Park and entry into the Chancery Rosewood, where the club’s café welcomes members with natural light and a menu that balances nutrition and indulgence. The wellness underground is a network of rooms designed for privacy and calm, with therapy spaces that include a hyperbaric oxygen chamber resembling a set from science fiction and an IV drip room intended for frequent travelers. The club’s approach to treatments is highly individualized, with therapists such as Jayne providing detailed feedback after skin scans, and recommendations tailored to each member’s skin type and history. The Aura scan, a quick 3D imaging process, reveals everything from facial structure to subtle lines and areas prone to redness, even picking up old injuries. After the scan, facials incorporate a mix of lymphatic tapping, cooling masks, and fruit enzyme peels, with aftercare instructions that include avoiding workouts and exfoliation for several days. The club also offers small group crystal bowls classes, described by the therapist as a sonic massage, where members lie under blankets and listen to sound waves intended to calm the mind. For those interested in movement, the gym’s layout avoids crowding, and members are seen lifting, stretching, and moving between classes in branded apparel. The club’s sound system, designed to suit each space, is planned to grow as new facilities are added, maintaining a consistent focus on both performance and discretion.
