Renowned for her stunning and Innovative designs, Christine Dando launched her new collections , ‘LEGENDS ‘ and ‘HALL OF FAME’ at Bridal Week: Harrogate in September 2021.
Already an established TV personality who regularly appears on the Popular TV show ‘Say Yes to the Dress UK’, brides are desperate to get their hands on a Dando London gown, which are available worldwide.
Trained in design, pattern cutting and dressmaking in Singapore, Christine was highly influenced by Charles and Diana’s wedding in 1981 and opened her first bridal boutique in the UK not long after. Specializing in bespoke gowns she was recruited to move to Canada as Head Designer and Creative Director for the Alfred Sung range for Jai International and Jade Daniels. She was instrumental in developing the Callista collection for brides with curves and launched a collection, Christine Dando, under the Jai corporate umbrella. Dando London is the culmination of Christine’s experience and passion which is poured into the style, cut, fit and hand finishing of each dress. Using the finest quality fabrics and lace she highlights attention to detail and makes sure that brides feel effortlessly beautiful. Drawing inspiration from a variety of diverse sources from Old Hollywood through to the natural world, her philosophy is to focus on the cut and fit of each gown to ensure brides are comfortable. Her new collection delivers new designs and fabrics, with various silhouettes along with luxurious beading and her trademark long trains, stunning backs and plunging necklines.
Dando London’s two new collections, ‘Legends’ and ‘Hall of Fame’ are inspired by iconic public figures across Hollywood, music, pop culture, and beyond. “All women are legends in their own right” Christine says, and even more so following the last 18 months. “Stories, music and the ever-evolving beauty of the female form spurs me on to design bridal gowns that are comfortable, beautiful and make each bride look amazing at every turn.” The Legends Collection is full of gowns fit for the bride wanting to steal the show on her wedding day. Whether looking for a full-skirted ballgown, or sexy figure-hugging dress, brides are sure to be able to find the silhouette that makes them feel incredible. Each bridal style is named after a distinctive women with their individual persona intertwined in the design’s aesthetic.
