Rosewood Calistoga is set to open on April 15, 2027, bringing a new 96-room luxury resort to 118 acres of forested ridgeline above the town of Calistoga in Napa Valley. The property will include 31 suites among its guestrooms, as well as a collection of private villas and estate homes situated in the hills at 515 Foothill Blvd. The architecture is led by Atelier Marsh, carrying forward the original vision of architect Ed Tuttle, according to Rosewood Hotels.
The development will also include Rosewood Residences Calistoga, a connected component offering 20 private villas and 13 estate homesites. Guest accommodations range from Estate King rooms of 500 square feet to Forest View Suites nearing 1,000 square feet. The main buildings and residences are set along the wooded ridgeline at the northern edge of Napa Valley, with the site spanning a large tract of forested land.
Dining at Rosewood Calistoga will center on a yet-to-be-named restaurant focused on an earth-to-table approach, complemented by a poolside eatery and an intimate cocktail bar. Wellness facilities include an Asaya Spa with six treatment rooms, an outdoor garden, hydrotherapy experiences, and a fitness center. Two pools are planned: one reserved for adults and another for families, with amenities designed for both couples and multigenerational travelers.

Daniel Simon was appointed managing director of the property in August 2026. Simon previously led Rosewood Phnom Penh, which appeared at number 30 on Travel + Leisure’s 2024 ranking of the world’s top 100 hotels during his time there. Rosewood’s announcement lists more than 20,000 square feet of event space, while other reports have cited 12,000 square feet. Hoodline notes that figures for the total number of rooms and suites differ slightly between Rosewood’s statements and other industry sources.
Bookings for Rosewood Calistoga are now open for stays beginning April 15, 2027. Until November 4, 2026, reservations are available exclusively through Rosewood Elite travel advisors. Rosewood Elite bookings come with benefits such as a room upgrade if available, a daily breakfast credit of $90, a $125 credit for use at the hotel during the stay, valet parking, and a special welcome on arrival. Nightly rates begin at $2,100 and can reach $2,500 depending on the season, according to One Mile at a Time. Other reports have mentioned rates closer to $2,000, but these haven’t been independently confirmed by Hoodline.
The resort joins a competitive field of luxury hospitality in Napa Valley, with nearby properties including Alila, Four Seasons, Auberge du Soleil, Solage, and Stanly Ranch. Napa County’s hotel market saw average daily rates reach $422.52 in 2025, with luxury property occupancy rising 4.4%, outpacing the broader market. The magazine has also looked at Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, in Hawaii.
Rosewood lists more than 20,000 square feet of event space at the property. The spa will have six rooms for treatments, along with a garden outside, hydrotherapy offerings, and a gym, as described by Rosewood. The two pools include one for adults and one for families.
The guest room mix includes both standard rooms and suites, with the Estate King as the entry-level room at 500 square feet and the Forest View Suite at 1,000 square feet. The private villas and estate homes are part of Rosewood Residences Calistoga, which the company describes as a separate but connected component of the development. The property’s location at the northern end of Napa Valley places it close to downtown Calistoga while maintaining a sense of seclusion on its 118-acre site.
Rosewood Calistoga will open to the public for direct bookings starting November 4, 2026, with its first guests expected in April 2027.
