In southern China along the Pearl river lies the sprawling city of Guangzhou. As one of the most populous cities in China with a wide mix of culture, business, trade, and cuisine, it’s a unique destination that any global traveler should not miss. For an unforgettable and luxurious stay at the heart of the city, there’s no better place than the Four Seasons Guangzhou.
Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou
Set within the IFC (International Finance Center) Tower, the Four Seasons Guangzhou occupies the 69th through 103rd floors. A separate entrance at the ground level of the tower takes you up to the main Four Seasons lobby floor with the hotel’s front desk/concierge. The elevators open up to Atrium – the 70th floor bar & lounge – and a few steps around the corner is an expansive atrium lobby decorated with luxe seating, a magnificent wall of artistic detail, modern art and waters elements, with a direct view upwards to the glass ceiling. Thanks to the placement of the Four Seasons being on the upper floors of the structure along with walls of floor-to-ceiling windows, natural light graces the space and each floor of the hotel. It’s safe to say there are no other properties in Guangzhou that boast such design and luxurious ambiance.
That same level of thought-out design and sophistication translates through to each of the hotel rooms. Starting with a Standard room, you can expect luxurious amenities including plush bed sets, flat screen TVs, an espresso machine, marble bathrooms with full soaking tubs, and more. With all rooms on the outside of the hotel, your bound to have an incredible view – whether that of the Pearl River, Canton Tower, or Downtown Guangzhou. At night the city lights up to an incredible eye-opening display that sets the scene on one of China’s most important port cities.
Dining
When it comes to cuisine at the Four Seasons Guangzhou, well… where do we begin?! For starters, every restaurant has direct view of the city, so you’re sure to enjoy the sights and the flavors in abundance. Beginning with breakfast you can opt for in-room dining or a visit to the 72nd Floor dining room for menu items or the buffet. The options are truly endless, from typical western plates such as omlettes and grains, to asian favorites like exotic fruits and dim sum. For those looking to a casual dining setting, Cafe Mondo serves up traditional Italian-inspired cuisine alongside some asian specialties. Kumoi, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant is also open for lunch or dinner and features sushi, teppanyaki, and yakitori dishes. If you’re into seafood, Catch restaurant on the 100th floor will set the scene just right. At Catch, private dining rooms are available for a more intimate setting or special occasion. Last but certainly not least is Yue Yue Heen, the Michelin-starred Cantonese Restaurant led by chef Mai Zhi Xiong. As one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, the service and food are truly exceptional. You don’t want to miss their gourmet tea selection, or the always scrumptous dim sum.
Hua Spa & Wellness
A Four Seasons property would not be complete without an element of health & wellness. During a proper stay you’ll want to enjoy all the amenities and spa services that are offered on the wellness floor. At Hua Spa, you can choose from a variety of facials, massages, heat & water therapy, natural remedies and body treatments. Specialties we recommend include the Caviar Facial and Aroma Crystal Massage, which will leave you feeling rich in tranquility. A full gym equipped with cardio, weight training, and fitness machines is available for all guests throughout their stay. You can also swim at the horizons edge from dusk into night on the 69th floor lap pool
