Mercedes-AMG has revealed its latest pinnacle in innovation and power — the SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE, proudly hailed as the most advanced and potent SL in the marque’s history. This latest iteration of the iconic SL introduces a meticulously crafted AMG 4.0L V8 Biturbo engine, complemented by an AMG Electric Drive Unit, culminating in an impressive power output of 805 horsepower and a peak torque of up to 1,047 pound-feet.
While raw potency takes center stage in the SL 63 S E PERFORMANCE, the vehicle also boasts an array of sophisticated features. Active roll stabilization, fully adaptable all-wheel drive, rear-axle steering, and a standard ceramic high-performance composite brake system all contribute to its exceptional performance.
Thanks to its instantaneous response via the electric drive on the rear axle, the car rockets from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds. Moreover, the SL is furnished with the standard AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension, offering a broad spectrum of driving dynamics, from comfort to high-level agility.

The vehicle’s operational strategy, derived from the hybrid power unit of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 race cars, ensures an always-available surge of power. Enhanced by the eight AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, spanning from “Electric” to “RACE,” these modes can be tailored to diverse driving parameters, accommodating driver preferences.
In terms of design, the SL features distinctive exterior elements, including a unique charging port door, a crimson-highlighted “SL 63 S” model badge, and distinct twin tailpipe trims.
