MSC Cruises has introduced the Grand Hamptons Villa, a two-story family residence at sea spanning more than 2,475 square feet, set to debut exclusively on the new MSC World Atlantic when it begins sailings from Port Canaveral in November 2027. The villa, now open for booking, is designed to accommodate up to eight guests and combines private amenities with expansive living and entertainment spaces.
The Grand Hamptons Villa was created in collaboration with Storyland Studios, a California-based design firm known for its work in theme parks and immersive experiences. Inspired by the Hamptons, the villa is intended for larger or multigenerational families, or two families traveling together, and is the only accommodation of its kind on board the ship. Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said, “As a family-owned company, we understand what makes a great family holiday and the importance of creating accommodations that enable families to make the most of their time together while enjoying the space and flexibility they need.”
A dramatic, double-height living room anchors the main floor, offering panoramic ocean views and dedicated spaces for dining, relaxation, and play. The living area includes a private library and a climbing tower that leads to an interactive ship-inspired play zone. A secret door in this space will reveal new surprises each day, according to the company. The villa’s private kitchenette and bar are set up for family gatherings, while the expansive terrace has a whirlpool, lounge seating, and classic deck games overlooking the ocean.
The Entertainment Loft includes a private movie theater lounge, a digital gaming table, and a LEGO wall. Sleeping arrangements cater to various family needs: a primary suite with a walk-in closet, vanity, and a private balcony with an outdoor shower. A kids’ suite with custom bunk beds, individual TV screens, and a private bathroom. Plus a double cabin and a separate twin bedroom for added flexibility.
Guests of the Grand Hamptons Villa will enjoy access to the MSC Yacht Club, which includes 24-hour butler and concierge service, a dedicated cleaning team, and access to exclusive Yacht Club areas. Additional benefits include the Premium Extra Drinks package, unlimited specialty dining and Wi-Fi, and a Fun Pass for family activities.
According to MSC Cruises, the double-height living area is arranged for group dining and play, while the private library offers a quieter retreat. The climbing tower and interactive play area are intended to keep children engaged, and the secret door is described by MSC Cruises as revealing “daily surprises,” though no further details have been given. The Entertainment Loft’s private movie theater is set up for family film nights, and the digital gaming table and LEGO wall add to the range of activities available within the villa itself.
The kids’ suite is equipped with custom bunk beds, each with its own television, and a private bathroom. That gives children their own dedicated space. The primary suite’s private balcony includes an outdoor shower, and the additional double and twin bedrooms allow for various family configurations. The villa’s terrace, with its whirlpool and deck games, is positioned to take in panoramic ocean views.
MSC World Atlantic, the ship hosting the Grand Hamptons Villa, is currently being completed at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard. The ship will carry up to 6,758 guests and is scheduled to begin its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral on November 13, 2027, with stops including Nassau, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. Year-round seven- and 14-night Caribbean itineraries are planned, with the villa available for booking on all sailings. The magazine has also looked at the Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido’s redesign for families.
