A Design-Forward Haven of Opulence and Culinary Excellence Opens in Buffalo, NY

A new era of sophistication and style arrives in Buffalo as Saint Neri, a design-forward cocktail bar and lounge, opens its doors. Conceived by internationally acclaimed interior designer Samuel Amoia and Buffalo native Michael Woltz, Saint Neri promises a blend of European opulence, world-class hospitality, and a touch of Buffalo’s unique charm.

The lavish 70-seat space, set to open on Monday, January 22nd, is a visual masterpiece. Draped curtains made from 17th-century Venetian fabrics, walls adorned entirely with 24-carat gold leafing, and eye-catching tortoiseshell prints create an atmosphere that exudes glamour and playfulness. Leopard print carpet, Murano glass fixtures, and a 15-stool bar with tortoiseshell print contribute to the venue’s unique aesthetic.

The bar’s bespoke scent, designed by Amoia, complements the warm and herbaceous notes reminiscent of Palo Santo. Hosts dressed in white tuxedos and 1920s flapper-style dresses, along with a genre-hopping soundtrack, add an extra layer of sophistication. Saint Neri takes its name from the patron saint of joy and good times, a theme evident in every detail of the bar experience.

The culinary experience at Saint Neri is led by renowned local chef and James Beard Award nominee Steven Gedra, previously of The Black Sheep Restaurant and Bar. The menu features a fusion of elegant bar bites and nostalgic Southern-Italian mains. Highlights include Cacio e Pepe Arancini, Short Rib Stuffed Peppers, and a decadent 24k gold chocolate budino.

The cocktail menu, a collaboration between Beverage Director Jessica Benham and Head Bartender Megan May, showcases a rotating list of classics and seasonal signatures. Each drink draws inspiration from local Buffalo haunts and childhood memories associated with the city. Ingredients are sourced from local farms, further emphasizing Saint Neri’s commitment to the community.

Samuel Amoia expresses his passion for the project, stating, “Saint Neri truly is a love letter to the city… It takes everything we love about the city, our memories, and combines it with our passion for beautiful design and world-class hospitality.”

Saint Neri is located at 220 Lexington Avenue, Buffalo, New York, and welcomes guests Wednesday through Saturday. For more information, visit saintneri.com and follow @saintneribar on Instagram.
