The Wolseley will open its first members club in the United States at The Wolseley Hotel New York in Q2 2027. The club will occupy several floors at 130 West 44th Street, a Midtown Manhattan landmark that was built by Stanford White for The Lambs, a club for theatrical professionals. The building, now restored, will house both the 77-room hotel and the new multi-level private club, returning the address to its legacy as a gathering place for cultural and creative figures in New York.
The Wolseley Members Club will be centered on the Stanford White Room, the building’s principal historic space, which will once again serve as a backdrop for gatherings, performances, private events, and cultural programming. Surrounding this core are a sequence of lounges, dining rooms, private salons, and terraces, designed for use throughout the day. Members will have access to all-day dining and drinks, with menus drawing on favorites from The Wolseley’s Piccadilly location in London, and the brand’s signature approach to hospitality.
The club’s design takes inspiration from the original London restaurant, including a reference to its recognizable floor, which will appear in what is described as an “unexpected” way. According to Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, which owns The Wolseley Hotels, “The Wolseley has a strong identity rooted in British culture and the bridge between New York and London is integral to our unique identity.” Rajakarier adds that the club will offer “a social space and a sanctuary from the pace and chaos of the city,” aiming to feel like an extension of home for local members and a New York residence for those visiting from abroad.

Membership will be shaped to reflect the diversity and dynamism of New York. That will bring together established and emerging voices from across business, the arts, hospitality, and philanthropy. The club will foster connections between New York, London, and other major cities, with members receiving preferred access to wellness facilities, longevity programming, and dining privileges, as well as future reciprocal benefits at other Wolseley Members Clubs. The club will organize a program of literary salons, hosted dinners, and social gatherings, along with access to cultural events beyond the club’s walls, such as private viewings, curator-led tours, and artist conversations.
Dillip Rajakarier, group CEO of Minor International, said, “What excites us most is bringing together people who might not otherwise find themselves in the same room: founders and artists, producers and investors, hoteliers and philanthropists, established voices and emerging talent. That spirit of conversation and connection has always been central to The Wolseley in London, and there could be no more fitting place to begin this new chapter than 130 West 44th Street.”
The Wolseley Hotel New York will comprise 76 or 77 rooms, depending on source, with the club integrated throughout the property. Members will have access to wellness and leisure facilities, private spaces for work or relaxation, and a cellar-level cocktail lounge. The club’s all-day rhythm will allow for breakfast meetings, afternoon conversations, post-theatre suppers, and late-evening drinks, echoing the London institution’s blend of occasion and informality.

The Wolseley Members Club is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2027, marking the brand’s expansion from London to New York and restoring a historic Midtown address to its origins as a hub for conversation and culture.
