First-of-Its-Kind Miami Hotel Offers Custom Virtual Experiences of Your Choice

W South Beach has introduced an exciting new concept following a $6 million makeover. This Miami hotel has become the first of its kind to recreate various atmospheres and experiences virtually, offering everything from an immersive underwater adventure to the ambiance of different cities worldwide. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

This innovative technology uses 3D mapping to blend storytelling, visual and audio effects, and technical precision. It can transform a blank canvas ballroom spanning 4,300 square feet into virtually any environment, similar to L’Atelier des Lumières in Paris.

The built-in projection system relies solely on light, eliminating the need for complex sets, heat, or UV emissions. It’s entirely customizable with preset color scenes and boasts a digital library of images and videos suitable for weddings, parties, meetings, and corporate events. The options range from abstract digital art and lush greenery to sunny beaches and celebratory party themes.

The ballroom itself is quite spacious, covering over 4,300 square feet and accommodating up to 250 people. For a more intimate atmosphere, it can be divided into two separate spaces. Customizable LED lighting is integrated into 12 ceiling coves and six wall arches, creating an energy-efficient system that overcomes traditional venue limitations to bring the projection mapping to life.

There are four presentation projectors in the ceiling, which can be used simultaneously with environmental projectors. Additionally, 24 built-in microphones (12 for each room) are attached to the ceiling, offering advanced speech reinforcement and recording capabilities, ensuring smooth presentations. The setup also includes 32 audio speakers (16 for each room) designed with a sleek appearance and top-notch performance. Each of the 52 pin spots (26 for each room) has an adjustable 6-foot radius beam that can be easily controlled and programmed for enhanced projection mapping.

W South Beach provides three recently renovated studios, each accommodating up to 60 people. These studios are equipped with 75-inch LCD monitors, wireless internet access, HDMI connectivity, Ensenio Hotel TV channels for leisure viewing, and dimmable soft white LED and recessed lighting. If needed, these three studios can be combined into a larger space for greater flexibility.
