Rosalía Named Dior's Newest Global Ambassador Following 2024 Met Gala Appearance

Officially named as Dior’s newest worldwide ambassador is Spanish musician Rosalía. The news follows her 2024 Met Gala wear of a refined and timeless black strapless column skirt set by Dior, which required over 1800 hours to create.

As part of her inaugural job as a brand ambassador, the Spanish actress is the face of the Lady Dior advertising campaign. The American photographer Collier Schorr shot the Lady Dior handbag campaign, which the French design brand revealed to the publication. Rosalía was recently sighted at the Dior Fall 2024 RTW presentation, holding the Lady Dior purse. Maria Grazia Chiuri, a longtime admirer of the artist, included music from El Mal Querer, his second studio album, in her 2023 Cruise performance, which took place in Seville, Spain.

“I instantly fell in love with Rosalía’s music,” said Maria Grazia Chiuri, creative director of Dior womenswear, in a statement regarding Rosalía’s worldwide ambassadorship. After giving her work a closer look, I was quite impressed with how committed she was to her job as a producer and musician “How this young artist was able to reinterpret and reactivate the sounds and clothing associated with flamenco, transposing them to a more modern and contemporary framework,” stated Chiuri, “was especially fascinating. Rosalía is a young creative who invents a new language with her voice to express her strength, creativity, and identity.

With her new campaign and ambassadorship for the company, Rosalía becomes the first celebrity to front a Lady Dior advertisement since 2016. She becomes one of the house’s muses, among celebrities like Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron.
