What could be more delightful than sipping chilled champagne aboard a luxurious train? This is precisely the allure behind Veuve Clicquot’s newest series of exclusive gastronomic journeys created in collaboration with Belmond.
This isn’t the first occasion where the esteemed champagne house has partnered with the renowned train operator. Last year, in celebration of its 250th anniversary, Veuve Clicquot organized an extravagant trip aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Now, guests are in for another extraordinary treat with three distinct journeys scheduled for 2024, traversing Asia, Europe, and South America.
The inaugural expedition will treat a select few guests to an unforgettable three-night sojourn across Malaysia. Scheduled from April 22nd to 25th, this journey commences in Singapore, where Veuve Clicquot’s champagne bottles were initially dispatched in 1859. The voyage unfolds aboard Belmond’s Eastern & Oriental Express, meandering through scenic landscapes from Singapore to Penang and Kuala Lumpur via the iconic ‘jungle railway’ through Taman Negara National Park. Throughout this escapade, guests will indulge in sumptuous wining and dining experiences. It all begins with a Solaire champagne brunch overlooking Singapore’s Marina Bay and concludes with an extravagant gala dinner onboard the train, complemented by, naturally, the finest champagne. Be prepared to dress for celebration; the evening will feature live music and a DJ set.
